From your first call to a successful placement, we guide you through every stage, at no cost to you or your family.

Tell us what you need

Start with a quick phone call or fill in our referral form, whichever is easier. We'll ask about the person who needs care: their medical needs, personal preferences, location, and any time pressures. There's no wrong way to begin.

If you're a healthcare professional referring a patient, we have a dedicated fast-track route. Just mention it when you get in touch.

We search our network

Our advisors use your requirements to search our network of CQC-registered care homes across Burton-on-Trent and the surrounding area. We look at care type, availability, location, atmosphere, and cost, not just a tick-box match.

We contact homes directly on your behalf, check current bed availability, and present you with a personalised shortlist of usually 2 to 4 options.

Typical time: Shortlist delivered within 24–48 hours.

View and choose

We arrange viewings at the homes you're interested in and can accompany you if it would help. There's no pressure to decide quickly. We give you the space to visit, ask questions, and make the right choice for your family.

If none of the initial options feel right, we go back and look further. We don't stop until we find something that fits.

We support the move

Once you've chosen a home, we help coordinate the admission process, liaising between the care home, the family, and any healthcare teams involved. We're there to answer questions and smooth out any bumps along the way.

And we don't disappear after move-in day. If you need us in the weeks after, we're still here.

Yes, completely. Burton Care Connect is free for families and referrers. We're funded by the care homes in our network when a successful placement is made, similar to how estate agents work. This never influences our recommendations; we only suggest homes that are genuinely suitable.
We cover residential care, dementia care, nursing care, and respite care. If you're not sure which type is needed, tell us the situation and we'll help you work out the right level of care.
For standard referrals, we typically deliver a shortlist within 24–48 hours. For urgent hospital discharges or emergency placements, we prioritise and can often identify options much faster. Call us directly for anything urgent.
Every home in our network is CQC-registered and has been personally reviewed by our team. We only work with homes rated Good or Outstanding by the CQC, and we regularly revisit them to make sure standards are maintained.
